This tutorial will show you how to Install FileLinked on Shield, Firestick & Fire TV. FileLinked was previously known as DroidAdmin and used to install APK’s on your device.
With FileLinked you will have access to applications not available within the App Store.
Using FileLinked will also enable you to install multiple apps at once. With specific codes installing streaming apps and more onto your Sheild or FireStick will be a breeze.
Because FileLinked has been removed from the App Store, it must be side-loaded onto your Fire TV device. To do so requires the installation of the application Downloader which will enable us to install FileLinked with ease.
Follow the step by step instructions below to learn how to install FileLinked on Nvidia Shield, Firestick & Fire TV.
**Please note screens may look different from device to device as well as firmware/software version at time of install however, the process remains almost exactly the same.
In Settings, scroll down till you see “Security & restrictions.” It’s worth noting that my screenshots may look a little different than yours, since I’m using a Nexus Player running Android 7.0 for this tutorial. The process is still the same, though.
In the Security menu, you’re going to toggle “Unknown sources” on. When you hit the toggle, a warning will show—accept that and you’re on your way.
Open the Play store
***this is NOT the same vrs of play store that runs on most Android devices and is exclusive to Android TV OS
Search for the Downloader app by searching for “AFTVNEWS” and select install.

This will return you to Downloader. Click delete to remove the file
Return to Fire TV home screen and under Your Apps & Games scroll to the right and click See All
